Companies Urged to File H-1B Petitions Soon for 2012
As of April 1, 2012, companies can file new H-1B visa petitions for prospective employees with a start date of October 1, 2012 or later. Since the H-1B visas ran out in December of last year, many companies are eager to bring in talented and educated workers from around the world. The H-1B visa, designed for individuals in "specialty occupations" that require at least a bachelor's degree, is one of the most common work visas available. We encourage employers to file their H-1B visa petitions early, as visas may run out even more quickly this year than it did last year.
